A turntable weight can stabilise a vinyl record on the platter to allow the cartridge to track the grooves more faithfully producing enhanced sound quality. It can also help to flatten warped records.
This solid aluminium unit weighs 450g so is not recommended for suspended turntables like Linn LP12 or Thorens models but works fine with non-suspended designs like Origin Live, Rega, Pro-ject.
